Please note that this is not a comment from 2023, but rather 2003!! Florida, then a marginally red state with Republican governance (not always conservative governance) has managed to meet and exceed its budgetary needs with its forms of taxation that have never included income taxes. Now that Florida has been governed conservatively for the past few years, that state surplus has only grown. There is a lot to be learned from that!!

So is Texas, those surpluses should be returned to the citizens of those states! But will it? Don’t hold your breath.
