We are seeing this every day in every aspect of life. If a set of statistics has not met the objective of the public narrative, the powers that be change the basis of the statistic. One has to re-evaluate the raw numbers on the basis of older basis formulas to get to the truth of any government statistic. When one does that, inflation, unemployment, efficacy of government programs all are shown to be quite different.
