Everything is about power grabs and fundraising. This could be said about the GOP as well, except that under President Trump, several of the long time, fund raising issues reached their completion.
The left on the other hand, seems to relish in creating problems to then not have any solutions except doubling down on the actions that created the problems in the first place. This has been seen over and over and over again over the past few years with increasing frequency. Immigration, race relations, gender identity issues, crime, policing and enforcement philosophy, just to name a few.
